Hey guys, it’s Ben from Myers Woodshop!
I’m originally from Pennsylvania and now call Arkansas home. Making has always been in my blood, and it’s a real passion of mine. I’ve also always loved using technology in everyday life, so woodworking was never going to be any different.
Along with the usual power tools, hand tools, and traditional woodshop equipment, you’ll see me use computer-driven tools like CNC machines, laser cutters, and 3D printers. I enjoy figuring out how these machines work, finding better ways to use them, and turning an idea into something real.
Helping Beginners Get Started
In addition to select commission work, selling my designs and products, and making YouTube videos, one of the things I enjoy most is helping beginners learn how to use these higher-tech tools. When I first started with CNCs, lasers, and other specialized equipment, there wasn’t much information aimed at the new user. I had to teach myself a lot along the way.
That experience is a big reason I share what I learn. I try to explain things in a straightforward way that anyone can understand, whether you’re setting up your first CNC, learning a laser, trying 3D printing, or just looking for a better way to build something in the shop.
Sharing What I Learn
Myers Woodshop started as a way to share a hobby I love. It’s still something I genuinely enjoy doing, but over the years some of my videos reached a much bigger audience than I ever expected. That gave me the opportunity to share more builds, files, tools, tips, and ideas with other makers.
You can find many of my builds and how-to videos on the Myers Woodshop YouTube channel, along with the files, products, and tools I use here on the site.
