The Munbyn thermal label printer, ITPP941, has been one of the best additions to my shop. It plugs in directly via usb (no wifi in the printer). I downloaded the drivers (I'll post a link to them below), loaded the paper, and within one second of hitting the 'print' button, I have a label that requires no taping onto the package! It really is that quick. It's great for large shops too! It can print one label after the other. 500 labels? they'd be done in 5 minutes on this thing! I'm not trying to sell you on it, rather than be an evangelist for the time (and frustration) savings it's given me. Any my time is more valuable than the $150 this thing costs! It's a no brainer.
Since I manly ship on Etsy, it was very easy to setup. Once I installed the driver, simply go into Etsy shop manager, settings, shipping settings, and look under Shipping label preferences. There is a section that says 'downloading labels'. Simply choose, "format my labels for 4x6 label printers' and your set up! Easy as pie.
Another bonus of the thermal printer is the cost per label. I purchased the thermal roll (click picture to the right to purchase) and it will do 220 labels for around $10. Since there is no ink, it's much more economical than traditional inkjet printers and the cost of paper, ink, and tape to apply the label. The rolls are basically a sticker, so just peel off and apply it to your shipping package.
