Simple shapes.
Better edges.

Choose Edit edges, select a shape, then click one of its highlighted edges or curved rims. Drag the edge itself: inward for a chamfer, or outward for a roundover. The mouse cursor shows the drag direction for that edge. The farther you drag, the larger the finish.

Click an edge to open its on-model popup. Choose Chamfer or Roundover and type an exact millimeter amount; geometry updates as you type. Finishes create new editable faces and edges. After a finish completes, click one of its new edges to add another chamfer or roundover. The last finish remains editable in its popup. Drag a popup by its title or background to move it aside; double-click its title to return it to the model. Each selected edge or curved rim is independent. Drag back across zero to change the finish type. Click an edge without dragging to adjust its exact size in properties.

Workplanes: click Workplane, then click any solid face. New shapes align with that surface. Ground switches to the base without deleting surface planes. Use Active plane to switch between the base and saved surface planes, or click an empty area of the base grid. Click the purple workplane grid or its status label to select it. Press D to delete the selected workplane or objects. Press Esc to deselect or cancel placement. Press W or use To plane to drop selected shapes onto the workplane.

Smooth brush: click Smooth brush (S), then paint a solid surface to soften its bumps and corners. Adjust radius and strength. Undo reverses a stroke; Reset smoothing restores the original CAD-editable shape. Smoothing modifies mesh geometry, which exports in your STL.

Rotate: select shapes and click Rotate (R). Choose X, Y, or Z, then drag an X, Y, or Z curved-arrow handle. Inside the protractor snaps by 22.5°; outside snaps by 1°. Hold Shift for 45° steps, or Alt for free rotation. Type an exact rotation amount in its on-model popup. Multiple selected shapes rotate together around their shared center.

Height: drag the blue arrow to move selected shapes perpendicular to the active workplane (workplane Z). On a vertical plane, it moves sideways. Both Z arrows follow your view: underneath from below, and on top from above. Drag the shorter green double arrow to resize height only; pull outward to grow or push inward to shrink, or type its exact value in the Height · Z popup. You can also type an exact Z position in properties. Movement in Move mode follows the active workplane.

Resize: grab a blue corner and push inward or pull outward. The opposite corner stays fixed. Hold Shift to preserve the two face dimensions (X/Y on the top face), leaving thickness unchanged. Choose All dimensions under Shift lock to include Z. Two dimension fields appear beside the face—type a value and the shape changes instantly. Use Resize plane to choose the top, front, or side face.

Select several: drag a selection box from empty space. Hold Shift to add objects. Shift-click individual shapes also works.

Select and move: click a shape once to select it, then drag its body to move the whole shape. Clicking again without dragging highlights the face you clicked and activates only its edges and corner dots. Body dragging works while Edit edges is active too. Set height and rotation in properties. Right-drag to orbit above or below the workspace. The workplane fades away from below; use Bottom for a direct underside view. Middle-drag, Shift + right-drag, or hold Space and left-drag to pan; scroll to zoom.

Align / combine / separate: Shift-click shapes to select several. Align lets you line up edges or centers on X, Y, and Z. Combine / Union creates one solid and retains the source parts; Separate recovers those component shapes. Mark cutters as Hole, then Combine to join solids and subtract cutters.

Render: click Render (P) for a clean studio image from your current viewing angle. Choose materials, lighting, background, shadows and resolution, then Save PNG. Transparent PNG is available. Rendering keeps your editable model geometry and colors.

Text: click Text to enter words, choose a font, and set letter height and extrusion in millimeters. Select an object first to place text on its top or a selected face. Circular wrap places text around a circle’s top rim or a cylinder/tube wall; Globe wrap follows a sphere in both directions. 360° distributes text around the circumference. Wrapped text stays separate until you Combine it with the target. Select text and click Text again to edit it.

STL / 3MF: the header import button adds mesh geometry onto the active workplane. STL uses millimeters and its Z-up orientation. 3MF reads model units and build transforms. Imported meshes can move, rotate, resize, combine, smooth, and export; their triangle surfaces do not have CAD edge editing.

Snap: use the Snap checkbox beside the distance menu to turn snapping on or off. When off, dragging moves and resizes freely. Turn it back on to use your previous distance; this preference is remembered.

Rulers: toggle Rulers beside Snap to show or hide the X, Y, and Z millimeter scales. Your preference is remembered.

SVG / DXF: click Import SVG / DXF in the shape tray. Closed outlines land flat on the active workplane. Use the Drawing → Solid popup to enter extrusion height (0 keeps it flat), width, or depth. SVG dimensions and DXF units are read when available; Scale units corrects unitless drawings. DXF supports closed polylines, circles, ellipses, nonrational splines, and joined lines/arcs. Convert text to paths before import. Extrude before combining or exporting.

Export: STL automatically joins solids and subtracts holes. Save project downloads an editable backup; autosave stays in this browser.

Edge editing uses CAD geometry for straight edges and curved rims across the shape library, including new unions. Smooth spheres and toruses have no sharp edges. A finish must fit adjacent faces; reduce its amount if the CAD engine rejects it. Complex mesh boolean results should be checked in your slicer. STL import and STEP export are not available yet.

Touch screens: Edit drags shapes and handles. Orbit rotates the view; Pan moves the view. Use two fingers to pan and pinch to zoom. Multi-select replaces Shift-click; Keep proportions locks resizing using the Proportion mode in Properties. Open Panel for Build or Properties.
